During my time at Verbum Dei, I contributed most in my senior year. I have left my mark in numerous places that I will continue to see thriving even after my time at Verb. At the beginning of my senior year, I was given the opportunity to help Coach Lopez and Coach McDaniel, to transform what was once an empty, overgrown, and unused field. A group of fellow seniors, parents, and myself, dedicated four hours on a Saturday morning in the heat to tackle this project head-on. Now the field is used for the baseball, soccer, and track team to use for many years to come. Another area I felt I had left my mark was through community service. The service organization Missionaries of Charity Brothers welcomed me with open arms and taught me the value of service and faith. Through this experience, I have recruited and brought awareness to this organization for fellow classmates to serve with me in the heart of Skid Row. My final notable mark I felt I have made the biggest mark was through Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). As treasurer of FBLA, I was able to moderate most of the meetings and create agendas for the members of the club. As part of one of the many chapters in Southern California, there was a business conference taking place. During the Southern Section Leadership Conference 2023, I medaled in Securities and investments competing against many of the prominent schools and brought it home for Verb! Through the many contributions I have made to Verb, I will continue to Pay it Forward as Verb Paid it Forward to me.
